Swinghouse 4
Swinghouse 4 pays homage to the great Gerry Mulligan & Chet Baker Quartet. A big aspect which gives Swinghouse 4 the unique sound like that of Gerry & Chet’s Quartet is its absence of a chordal instrument (Piano or Guitar). This leaves lots of space for interaction of the Baritone Saxophone and Trumpet during the melodies and solos for spontaneous invention of contrapuntal harmonies. Swinghouse 4 consist of Rob Fee on Baritone Saxophone, Adrian Smith on Trumpet, Kristian Braathen on Drums and Allan Johnston on Acoustic Bass.
